Six Video Marketing Tips that Drive Traffic Cost Effectively

Let’s be honest; driving traffic to your site is not easy; it takes lots of time and effort to get good traffic that can be monetized effectively.


However; we have found that right now (we expect this to change) using video content to drive traffic is comparatively less work, and lower cost than using textual based content – this is simply because less people are creating video content.

You will find that using promoted videos in Youtube gets you clicks more cost effectively than bidding on the same keywords in Adwords.


Yes, the functionality is different; you pay per view on Youtube promoted videos nowadays (they are part of the True View family now) so need to ensure that your call to action works in order to get the viewer to your site; but we have found that if your content is pretty good (does not need to be excellent) then this can be a more cost effective method of traffic generation.

Use captions/subtitles because these are searchable by search engines and will be rich in keywords that are scattered throughout the content of your video. When a video appears in search engine results it is a far more attractive click option than pure text.


Youtube does have closed caption functionality where it auto-generates the subtitles for you – DO NOT rely on this; it is a good starting point but it is inaccurate to a similar degree as Google translate.

I have a site on google news and even though I cover a niche site, it seems like my articles do not bring much traffic anymore and I earn under 3 dollars a day now. I noticed that google will always put well established big corporations first, like the LA and NY times, or USA Today, even rival Yahoo on the front page even if their content is just a AP news release duplicate they do not get punished and still show above other websites.

Does Yahoo! news have place to submit your news site so they can publish articles up like google news?

Google has really crushed a lot of peoples traffic and ranking, not just news sites, but businesses too have lowered rankings, my friend thinks they do this so the businesses and web owners will pay for Adwords advertising, its almost like a sly way of making more money and forcing them to advertise.

Another person had a theory that because they lost so much money on Youtube partners who make a killing on adsense from their videos, they have to find ways to earn even more money.

I don't really have a clue and no one else will unless they work for them. But it;'s tough bringing my ranking back up again, because unique content doesn't seem to improve it, its like they just tell you that even though it doesn't really make your articles rank any higher.

I am not a spammer lol, My site only puts up like 2 or 3 articles a day or if there is more news on certain cars and automobiles coming out we put more out, all original well written we even go to car shows to get exclusive info yet we dont get ranked high anymore.

Still my rank is low. While there are sites just posting the same story on their site and getting ranked higher than me. Mainly the sites who are owned by big corps or bring in big money.

its not a fair thing going on.

You do not need to be a freelance News CNN or BBC to get more traffic from Google News. Google, as I'm aware, only keeps news articles for 30 days.
How to use
Use the search bar at the top of the page, start by typing the site:-then you will need to enter keywords to search the contents of the site. Then you see how many Google sites approved within the time related to your keywords. The lower the response, less popular is this keyword. For example, if you wanted to look at the search engine industry over the last 30 days, googleadesnse.comyou must type the site: you will see a huge number not seroundtable.com pages come up.
The owner of these pages have suggested their site to Google is good news, if you think your site also has good news, not included under your keyword search, you can send it to Google for their approval. If your site is approved by Google being newsworthy, I get a lot of movement by visiting Google news people.
If you want to send the confirmation page, scroll down to the bottom to go to the home page, click the link ' about Google News. What it is rather long page scroll down to the FAQ so and 26 Q-What happens if I don't see my favorite news source in the search results? You can get in touch, recommend new source by selecting the first option. If your site has news and up to date (helps if your site is a general news site, not just one), then simply send it for approval. Possible Google did not approve this new site, but this should not deter you apply. A site which is usually more authority.
Using press releases for Google News
If you are sending standard articles through PRWeb, you already have some of these Google News are selected. If not, then it is perhaps something you should consider. No press release was written by a pro; They are reviewed by a team of editors, you could write a 10-15 minutes. Sufficient number of paragraphs, and then submit it to PRWeb. You don't have to be a CNN or BBC news reporter to get considerable traffic from Google News. Google, as far as I am aware, only keeps news articles for the last 30 days.  


How to use  


Using the search bar at the top of the page start off by typing in site: - you would then enter keywords to search for a site's content. You will then see how many sites Google has approved in the timeframe that relates to your keywords. The lower the response, the less popular that keyword material is. For example, if you wanted to look at the search engine industry over the last 30 days, you would type in site: seroundtable.com and you will see that not a huge number of pages come up.   


The owners of these pages have suggested to Google that their site is one with good news and if you think your site also has good news and is not included under your keyword search, you can submit it to Google for their approval. If your site gets approved by Google as being newsworthy, you can get a lot of traffic from this by people visiting Google News.  


If you want to submit a page for approval, go to the home page and scroll down to the bottom, click on the link 'about Google News'. What will come up is quite a lengthy page so scroll down to the FAQs and go to Q 26 - What if I don't see my favourite news source in the search results? You can get in touch with them and recommend a news source by choosing the first option. If your site does have news and it is up to date (it helps if your site is industry specific rather than just a general news site), then just submit it for approval. It is possible that Google may not approve a site that is brand new but that shouldn't deter you from applying. A site that has been around longer generally has more authority.  


Using press releases to get in Google News  


If you are a regular submitter of articles through PRWeb, you may already have had some of these featured in Google News. If not, then this maybe something you should consider doing. A press release doesn't have to be written by a professional; they are reviewed by a team of editors, and can be written up in 10-15 minutes. A few paragraphs are sufficient and then submit it to PRWeb. You may get some publicity this way and also have visitors going over to look at your site.  


If you go back to the home page and using the search command again, type in site: prweb.com and you will see a large number of pages on Google News are from this source. You may submit a press release and not actually realise you can also get a lot more traffic for this one release if it features on Google News. Another site that features highly on Google News is prleap.com so this site too should be considered when submitting your articles.

Web sites are a major part of the tourism marketing success strategy used by international tourism promoters in the new millennium: tourism boards, Associations, lodging, tour operators, etc.
Big Fat Warning
If your travel web site does not have these four primary elements clearly and quickly represented, you are missing opportunities, losing sales and may not survive in the tourism industry.
1. Creates a desire to use your tourism services, visit your destination or participate in your unique tourism option
2. Clearly informs prospects of travel and service benefits, options, sites, nature/environment, activities
3. Answer questions and concerns a typical visitor may have
4. Motivates prospects to contact you quickly (not your competitor) for more information, travel options and dates, answer questions and address concerns
If your site achieves all these goals, then the prospects that have visited your site will be more excited, motivated, qualified, informed and much closer to giving you a booking or visiting your country.
What percentage of your total website visitors are converting into solid prospects and sale?
Probably not as much as you would like.
This article is not about web design and layout theory, but why the written word and consumer psychology is a prime factor in influencing arrivals and sales from your travel website.
Create a desire to Visit your destination or travel with your company
Prospective travelers may or may not choose to visit your destination based on what they read on your web site - usually just your home page. With so many global destination choices online and so much international turmoil, you MUST communicate clearly it is a safe and fun destination quickly.

When someone first comes to your web site, you literally have five to twenty seconds to grab their interest and compel them to want to know more about your destination, tours, etc. If you don't grab them on your home page, they are gone. When a prospective tourist is considering a destination, in addition to types of regions and activities, they have additional questions and concerns that must be addressed to earn their visit or booking. The same holds true with Out Bound Booking Agents, but even more so.

Remember that: Marketing is the actions and steps to getting prospective and qualified visitors/clients to call or e-mail you.
